The Theta Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity was founded on the motto "To Better the Man" at the University of Kansas in 2016. Core Values of the Fraternity include Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism. Placing strong Emphasis on Brotherhood, Equality amongst members, and Philanthropic Contributions, the Theta Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi aims to be an example of positive Greek Life Practices. Despite a relatively short time at the University and no historical foundation prior to this previous decade, Alpha Sigma Phi’s success at Kansas has been profound with still plenty of room to grow. The chapter has already left their mark by winning the GSP,highest award in Alpha Sigma Phi, and a Gold Cup, Second highest award, in back to back years.
Winners
In the Summer of 2022, the Theta Pi Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi was awarded the Grand Senior President’s Cup. This award is the highest recognition a chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi can receive. This was Theta Pi’s second award since Chartering in the Spring of 2019. Previously taking home a bronze cup for our efforts during the 2018-2019 schoolyear. Followed up in 2023, winning the Gold Cup in the Summer. Theta Pi can attribute much of its new found to success to our strong group of advisors that advise the leadership of the Chapter in all aspects.
Popular Events
The Men of Alpha Sigma Phi have varying interests that are accommodated throughout the year in some of the events that we host. Located just off of 11th and Indiana, there could not be a closer location to tailgate on gamedays. Some highlights of our past events include Snow Tubing, Pumpkin Carving, Casino Night, Annual Camping Trip, a Barn Dance, and more.
Service
Members of Alpha Sigma Phi are required to have 10 hours of community service per a semester. Alpha Sig is different from other fraternities in that we have 5 Philanthropic Partners that represent our core values rather than just one. Alpha Sigma Phi was also the first National Fraternity to partner with RAINN, the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. We strive to better the community through bettering the man.

Following three long years of planning and development, Theta Pi at the University of Kansas chartered and became an official chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi. Today, it continues to build on the bond of brotherhood and shared ideals that the founding fathers set forth.
Leadership
Alpha Sigma Phi is a Leadership Fraternity. No spots on our Executive Board are handed out and as soon as a member is initiated they are eligible to run for a leadership position in our chapter. In the past 3 years we have had at least 2 new members voted into one of our leadership positions during the election following their initiation. In addition to our leadership positions, we have annual Leadership Conferences that meet around the country.

Founded at Yale University on December 6, 1845, Alpha Sigma Phi continues to be the organization of choice for collegiate men founded on the values of Silence, Charity, Purity, Honor, and Patriotism.
